I'm definitely back!

I have been feeing ill for so long, I hardly could remember what it's like to feel okey. Well, now I do. And I'm slowly getting back my energy. I just love that, since I've always been a very active person and I really enjoy having lots of things to do. I think I've watched way too much TV lately...

Almost a year ago I decided I wanted to become a nutritionist and I bought a course so I could study at home (no way I can go back to school any other way right now). Well, it all began really well but then for a series of reasons I had to quit. Well, actually I didn't quit, I just took a break.... And that break is over now!

So far this week I've studied 2 chapters and I've done the exam. I got 20/20. Wow!!! That did feel GREAT! I've decided that one of my major goals this summer will be to finish my studies. The next chapter is really hard, I've read it and honestly, I didn't understand much.. So I'll use a Fly lady approach, baby steps... I'll do it 15 minutes a time, read a few pages and look up all the words I don't understand. It all sounds like Greek to me! Too much chemistry... But I really want to learn, so before I even pretend to study that part I'll take whatever time needed to understand it... It's all about the approach... and not quitting...

I'm also on a roll with the Wii... I've worked out for 5 days in a row now. First I thought I'd rest on Saturday and Sunday but I thought it over. I really really want to loose weight, and I do think I can find 30 minutes a day, even on weekends, to do some running or whatever on the wii. My weight is quite stable, which is really good, considering my period is on its' way and I always gain about a kilo or two... I'm sure I'll lose weight next week. I did the 10 minutes of hula and I really hated every minute of it! But I know it's going to work so I just have to hang in there and just do it, no excuses allowed! And that's it. I know I'll be happy in a few weeks time when I notice how my belly has gotten smaller.

Time to get going again!

Day 5

I'm tired today, way too tired... Since my kids left I've sort of turned day and night all around and I'm beginning to feel the effects of that. I defenitely can't go on like that. I need to get back in track again.

I didn't do much yesterday. First of all, I got up late since I spent the night before chatting with friends in Peru. Then I just took it slow for the mostpart of the day. It was actually quite nice to do nothing...

In the evening I watched football, Spain - Paraguay. I really love football, it's my favorite sport. After a very boring first part we ended up winning with 1 - 0. Spain has never gone this far in the world cup so the whole nation is really happy. Never the less, I feel so sorry for Paraguay... But that`s football, there can only be one winner at this level.

I didn't feel like doing anything after the game so I just ended up chatting in two different chat rooms and with 4 friends on MSN at the same time. Oh my, chatting really makes your brain work full time, so you can mantain logical conversations with so many people at the same time. *lol*

I made a lot of chili con carne and rice yesterday so today I don't need to cook (probably tomorrow either). Great, because today I feel soo tired... I need to study, but my eyes are really swollen and sore, maybe I'll just spend the rest of the day on the coach watching TV... No, I'll finish the section about lipids first so I can start with the proteins tomorrow. I'm slowly, very slowly, making progress.

Oh well, time to get back to my studies...

Day 1

My kids left for Morocco yesterday morning. So far I'm doning ok. I'm glad my ex decided to spend a few days here first, because that way we all had a chance to get used to the situation.

I felt very very sad yesterday when they left, so I decided to walk home from the bus station in Malaga. It's about 30 km, so I knew it would take me a while. I put on some music and started to walk... It took me 3 hours to get home! The sun was shining and it was about 35ยบ C. I was quite deshidrated and exhausted when I got home and with blisters on my feet, but I really needed that walk. When I got home I had a shower, I had breakfast and I went to sleep... When I woke up I was feeling a lot better. The pain in my heart was much less and after I talked to my kids I felt ok.

Today my legs and face are really sore, because I got sunburned. I seem to wear red stockings! So today I'll stay indoors. ;-) No problem, I have a lot of work to do so I won't be bored.

Tomorrow I'll have to get back to my studies. I've been so busy these past weeks, I haven't had a chance to study. I really long to get back, because it's so interesting and I have a great time studying. I love that, becuse it's really hard to study when you have to work and care for a family. I will study as much as I posibly can these weeks when I only have to care about myself and my job.

Oh well, time to get back to work..

So tired!

This week has been really busy, at least so far. I hope I can get plenty of rest this weekend, I really need that. On Monday morning I found about a workshop that was starting the same day and since I had a posibility to do participate I went ahead. So I spent Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings in class, studying how to start your own business. It was a really good workshop and I'm more determined than ever to start my own company once I finish my studies.

My studies are going ok. I passed my first exam and currenty I'm studying Chapter 2. Before I started studying I thought I could do a chapter a week, but then I discovered that this chapter has 200 pages. No way I can study 200 pages in just a few days. :-( I'm going really slow but I'm sure I'll get there, eventually.

On Wednesday evening I went to another workshop, about how to take care of eldery people in their homes. I've been participating in this workshop for several months now, it's twice a month. Just one more time and I'll get my certificate. Another paper to add to my Curriculum Vitae.

I still don't have a contract but my bosses and I have decided that I'll work Monday and Friday evening and Wednesday morning, as well as one hour every Thursday evening.

As you can see I've hardly spent any time at home this week... I'm exhausted!!! My plans for this weekend is to relax, read and get plenty of sleep...

Once again, a student

In about 2 weeks time I'll start studying again. Oh yes, agaaaain.... *lol* I think I'll never ever finish my studies...

This time (*lol*) I've decided I'll become a dietist and a nutricionist. I'll study on line so I'll be able to continue with my "normal life" and study a few hours a day. Well, actually that means I'll have to give up chatting at night and spend that time studying instead. I hope to finish by February or at least by June - next year of cause..

I'm not really really sure about everything I'm going to study. Actually, all I know is that after I´m done I'll be able to make menues for people with a series of health issues and also for people who wants to lose weight (yup, that's me as well!) or even gain weight. I'll be able to work with catering or within the health care system or even start my own business. Once I finish I'll get a diploma and also the posibility to pass an official exam, which is a pretty good thing.

The only "bad" thing (apart from all the money I'm going to spend) is that this course does not include anything about medicine plants and "alternative medicine" so if I want to get a diploma for that I'll need to do another course as well. I'm really interested in that field, since I have good "conexions" with Peru. *lol*

I've spent the past days looking for information about nutrients on the net and there really is a lot to be read. I've saved some of it in different Word documents and since I don't have to go to the office this morning and I'm really down with the flu I think I'll go back to bed with the computer for an hour or two and do some reading... I think I need to get a printer...
