WW - The beach in February

Thursday, 2 December 2010

Yes, I did it!

Yesterday I went to Ikea with my friend A. I really needed some shelves to store my worksheets and other stuff for classes, so when she asked me if I wanted to go I didn't think twice.

This is what happened:

In the instructions it says that you need to be 2 persons to assembly these shelves, but since there just isn't a second adult in this household I had fix it on my own. And I did!!! When I finished I felt just like Dora the Explorer, shouting - I fixed it, I really did!

Going wordless - meet others who did so too.

WW - Malaga at night

Here are some photos I took one night when we went to Malaga. I'm sorry, they are quite blurry, I still need to make friends with my camera, specielly when it comes to take photos at night.

One of Picasso's famous statues. Picasso was born here in Malaga.

WW - Going to Ceuta

These are some photos I took last time I went to Morocco. There are several ways to go to Morocco from Spain. Since I always go to a town very close to the Spanish border I usually take the ferry from Algeciras (Spain) to Ceuta, which is a Spanish territory in the north of Africa, and from there I go by shared taxi to my town.

WW - A kick start

Last Tuesday I decided it was time to get back on track with FLY Lady. This is what my living room looked like when I took the furniture out of the kitchen and dining room and stuffed it into the living room so I could clean.

Nazarenos

These are the "nazarenos" or penitents, who walk along with the Christ or the Virgin durning the procession. Some of them walk barefoot or carry heavy crosses, in order to pay for their sins or to ask for a special favour. The hoods are, according to Ancient traditions, a way to get closer to Paradise.

Walking home

I went to Málaga this morning to do an errand and since I finished early I decided I'd walk home. I don't know the distance but I guess it's about 10 or 11 km. Due to the rain and cold I haven't walked anything at all this week so a brisk walk home would do me great.

It was cold but at least it didn't rain although the sky was really grey and ugly. I listened to some great music and just kept on walking... It took me exactly 2 hours to get home. Oooh boy, was I tired or was I tireeeed when I arrived home? *lol*

These are some of the pictures I took:

Tangier, Morocco

The Spanish Catholic cathedral.

The center of Tangier. Lots of cheap restaurants in this area!

Café de Paris, a famous café in the center of the city, close to the harbour and the old zouq (market)
